From a Victorian castle & woodland gardens over the harbour to a coastal spot above the beach, here are the Dunedin & Otago venues worth your shortlist, with an honest note on who each one actually suits.

Common questions
How much do wedding venues in Dunedin cost?
Big range! A castle or full-service garden venue with catering sits well up there, while a BYO garden can be a lot more affordable. Most don't publish exact prices, so send them your date & guest number for a real quote.
When's the best time of year to get married in Dunedin?
Summer & early autumn (December to April) for the warmest, longest days, though Dunedin weather is famously changeable, so always have a solid indoor / wet-weather backup wherever you book.
How far in advance should we book a Dunedin venue?
The favourites (Larnach especially) book out fast for summer Saturdays, often 12-18 months ahead. Lock your venue & date in first, then everything else (us included!) slots in around it.
